Giving back through life-changing experiences.
The angel ornaments you will receive are all hand-made by Audrey’s Angels, a group consisting of Audrey, Laura, Mary Campbell, Mary Kent, Ellie, and Scott (her brother). They are made of recycled aluminum cans in a variety of beautiful patterns and colors. These colorful ornaments are sold at multiple holiday gift fairs in the Atlanta, Georgia area. One hundred percent proceeds are donated to organizations which fund childhood cancer research and support. This year’s recipient organizations are Solving Kids Cancer (www.solvingkidscancer.org) and the Rally Foundation (www.rallyfoundation.org).
If you have been unable to find these angel ornaments in-person, we now offer the ability to purchase them online. Details are listed in the site.
We thank you for your support!!!
In 2010, at the age of 5, Audrey DeShetler was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma. This change her family's lives forever. Her cancer was located in primarily in her abdomen, but had spread to her chest, legs, spine, and skull. Her family's lives went from normal to nightmare in a matter of days. Nearly ten years later, Audrey continues to battle this disease. She has had two relapses after front line therapy, necessitating hundreds of days of stays in five different hospitals, years of chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, radiation, surgeries, infection therapies, ER visits, immunotherapy, and vaccine therapy. She was declared terminally ill after both of her relapses.
Today, Audrey continues to experience multiple side effects from the years of harsh cancer treatments. Her life has been a struggle, but she vows to fight for other childhood cancer victims, so that they do not have to endure what she had to.
